What type of intuitive are you?

Everybody’s intuitive profile is as unique as their individual set of senses, and their individual intelligences.
Some people have a great sense of smell. An ear for accents. An eye for colour.

Some people are great at design. Incredible jazz improvisers. Or create the most elegant computer programs.

And when it comes to your intuition, you’re unique there too.

Let’s start with the four basic clairs.

Clairvoyance is seeing things. Clairaudience is hearing things. Clairsentience is feeling things. And claircognizance is knowing things.

Inside these categories, there are many different ways that the sense operate.

Some clairvoyants may see photorealistic pictures. Others will see symbols. Some will see colours, and others still see real images from their own life that represent the same thing in the life of the person they’re reading for.

Getting to know your intuition means getting to how how you perceive intuitively, and how to interpret your perceptions.

The more people you can talk with about your intuition, the more insight you’ll gain into how they do intuition, and how you do it too.

Early on in my journey, one of my friends said, “I’m getting tingly shins – that means it’s something from the other side.” I didn’t get tingly shins, but I do get a tingly head when I’m receiving information from somewhere else. And I got confirmation of my own experience as she was experiencing something similar.

Another bonus of finding out about other people’s intuitive skills is that things you never thought about will become options.

One intuitive-psychic I’ve trained with sees coloured symbols when she hears or reads someone’s name. Over the years, she’s learned the language of these symbols and can now give a reading based just on someone’s name. Out of curiosity, I decided to see what intuitive messages came to me from people’s names. I got mouthfeelings. Sharp, spikey sensations, or fluff, or chewy. These sensations give me indications about someone’s character. The names can have different textures for different letters – sometimes a letter is split and involved in two different sensations. It’s fascinating, and totally unexpected. It’s not exactly what you find in your average guide for developing your intuition!

So pay attention to your intuitive feels, sights, sounds… in fact, all your ‘normal’ senses can get involved in your intuition. As your move along your journey, your intuitive profile will most likely broaden AND deepen – you’ll notice more of your intuitive capabilities, and they’ll get stronger as you pay them more attention.
