I use the word in two ways.
The first way: gifted in talents and/or skills. A gifted musician. A gifted mathematician. A gifted engineer. A gifted artist.
Gifted goes beyond highly skilled.
Gifted has a certain, almost indefinable, something about it. Call it flair. Sparkle. Edge. you know it when it’s there.
Like when you get in a car and drive it for the first time. In just a few minutes you have a sense of it. Is it skittish? Lively? Steady/reliable? Does it have a certain something? You know it when you meet it.
The second way: gifted with psychic and intuitive faculties.
To be honest, everyone is intuitive, though many people don’t realise it or will strongly deny it. Some people are psychic. And some are mediums. Some are all three.
When you have these gifts, you’re privy to information that not everyone can see, feel or hear. And that comes with pros and cons.
You may have a sense or a certainty that you’re gifted in this way. And other people? Some people – you may be one of them – hide it as best they can. Some deny it. Others are pretty chillaxed about it – it comes in handy for you, but you feel no need to shout it from the rooftops.
Where life gets really interesting is where these two types of gifted coincide. Someone who is gifted with worldly talents or skills and with a strong intuitive / psychic / mediumistic side.
At this intersection, life is interesting because there’s so bloomin’ much going on!! Like trying to drive two F1 cars at the same time. Ok, so the analogy breaks down but you get the idea.
Maybe it’s more like flying a plane when everyone else (except other gifted people!) expects you to be driving a car.
You can also be gifted (type 1) in the faculties of being gifted (type 2). So you’re a shit hot psychic, live wire intuitive, and/or having all the conversations you like with the deceased and other spirits. Holy moly.
Which one(s) are you?
